Don Donegan   Voice Lessons

I have been singing and playing guitar for 30+ years and studied voice with Jackie Jarrett, a well -respected vocal and music teacher in the Hartford area. In addition to my private students I also teach group voice , harmonica and guitar lessons for Manchester Community College's Continuing Ed Division and for the Glastonbury Adult Education Program. Students learn correct breathing techniques, identifying and expanding vocal range, ear training, diction, basic theory and, harmony training.   Most vocal teachers agree that 90% of people can sing if they learn and practice correct breathing and choose the right key for songs within their vocal range.   I teach 444+ songs divided into 5 lists - Pop and Rock, Young Children's Songs, Classic Oldies , Folk and Country and Christmas (Holiday) Songs.  Students can bring in new songs on their I Phones or IPods I can learn them and get them in the best key (out of 12 major keys) for the student.  I have the equipment to alter the pitch of these songs without distorting the sound of the tune to match the students' vocal range and can then record them on the student's I Phone or IPod so they can practice on their own.  As of 6-1-17  lesson fees have been reduced to  $39 an hour or $34 for 45 minutes or $29 for a half hour.  Students pay monthly and if you need to change a scheduled lesson, please give me at least 24 hour notice.

For a partial list of songs I teach see the Home Page of this web site.
