Don sings, plays guitar and harmonica and uses the prerecorded background tracks he makes in his studio, Rainbow Music. "You sound like a 4 piece band" says Claire Grace, director of the Fairfield Senior Center. He uses hats and props to liven up the show while offering either a one, two or three hour performance for listening or dancing. His audience-handout Song Request List contains 250 songs divided into 13 different song categories.  Don is well known for his outstanding interpretation of such standards as "Spanish Eyes", "Make The World Go Away", "Tennessee Waltz", "Your Cheating Heart", "Are You Lonesome Tonight" and "Wabash Cannonball". Irish tunes like "Danny Boy" and "My Wild Irish Rose" plus comedy favorites like "Mississippi Squirrel Revival", "Lasagna" and "I'm My Own Grandpa" are on these lists along with dozens of memory lane, love songs, waltzes, polkas, Latin beats, country, folk, Irish, patriotic and seasonal songs. 
 Don has recorded 6 CDs of all his 250 songs. He offers 5 types of performances:  They are:  Pre 1950 and Traditional Songs, Folk and Irish Songs, Pop and Rock Songs from 1955-1981, Country Songs from 1950-1985 and a Holiday Show. 

. He teaches voice and guitar in his recording studio in Glastonbury and in 1979, founded the non-profit music arts group, Connecticut Songwriters Association.
